This work is a replicate of our tithes offering box at Greater Faith MB Church. It is wired for 3 electric lights that are traditionally lit up for the service up until the collection. I have added images representing aspect of life that I see as essential; nature represented by the oak tree, the physical represented by the male nude, and the spiritual represented by the “God eye” which is the actual eye of my Pastor.
This replicates the “little white church” offering box we have at Greater Faith MB Church which is used to collect smaller gifts to become help to those in need or special projects with the buildings of the church. The images on this represent personal aspects of my work, silences, community experience, sexuality, my piano, the Pastor holding up the congregation, an homage to Snowflake Bentley.
